Thank you again Mark and MingChen Moreland and all those involved in organising and running the Heathrow Bonsai Show as this was yet another great bonsai show and fun event today. The range of bonsai trees on display was extensive and excellent, with some stunning autumn colour as well as some early winter images.

In addition to good opportunities to buy bonsai trees and sundries, there was also some good advice being provided during the demonstrations by Paul Finch in addition to general conversations throughout the day.

Just to round off the day the public vote was announced and the winning tree with the most public votes was the

  1. Cascade Boulevard cypress (C. pisifera ‘Boulevard’) by Kevin Brookes of Newbury & District Bonsai Society
  2. In 2nd place was an Acer owned by Malcolm Driffield of Wessex Bonsai Society and
  3. in 3rd place was a Juniper owned by Johnny Gires from Middlesex Bonsai Society, so well done to all.

Future posts for some of the individual bonsai trees that were on display trees will follow shortly including the photos of the bonsai trees that won the public vote.
