The Shohin UK II Exhibition did not dissappoint, it was great to see so many wonderful Shohin, Chuhin and a few Mame on display and there were also some beautiful stands, particularly the root stands as well as some brightly coloured and ornate pots too.

Here is a gallery of the winners from todays show and congratulations to Kit Bowns of Swindon & District Bonsai Society for being awarded the Best Mame and also the Best Mame display award.

The overall displays were excellent and if you spent the time looking at each element of each of the displays it took the whole day to get round them all. Furthermore, you could clearly see the work that has gone into some of these small but perfect little trees plus the whole displays with superb pot / stand combo’s in many cases as well as some excellent scrolls and accents. Here are a selection of the displays on view today.

The whole atmosphere of the show was fun and friendly and it was great to catch up with bonsai friends and other clubs and societies and join in with the silent auction, as well as watch John Armitage doing a bonsai demonstration and having so many great traders stands to pursue and buy more fabulous bonsai pots and products.

So thank you to all who helped with putting the show on and making it a great success and a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend the day and a brief gallery below of the general show is below.
