What a great bonsai show, and for its first event Expo Bonsai UK certainly delivered a superb and successful show with just under 100 bonsai exhibits on display. Congratulations to everyone who was part of the show and look forward to the next one. Here are a few images from the day. Also present were a good range of bonsai traders and it was an opportunity to stock up on bonsai supplies and bonsai trees.

One trader who caught my eye and interest this weekend at the Lodder Bonsai open weekend was Lotus Bonsai Studio. Wow was my first impression to his stunning pots with such artistic flare and detail, they were wonderful. This year we were pleased to also have a great collection of small trees on a range of shohin and mame displays at our show. The detail of some of these tiny bonsai trees is exquisite and they also have the cute factor. Below are the photos from each of the trees on the displays for your enjoyment. Thank you to everyone who set up a shohin and mame display as the time required to plan and then prepare these displays is often extensive as well as the day to day maintenance and care.
