What a huge difference a year makes to the weather at the Stratton Festival, Grange Drive, Swindon the same Leisure centre that we use for our ‘Winter Image’ show every February.

In 2017 it was just a bit wet which kept quite a few of the visitors away, 2018 swung the other way with temperatures in the high 80’s with only a little breeze now and again which was very welcome. Graham and I put on a small display of trees, trying to promote Bonsai and the Swindon club. We had quite a bit of interest until a certain game of football started at 1500 hrs, but we were glad of the rest to cool down a bit and enjoy a welcome ice cream.

The other benefit of being in the craft marquee was a cup cake stall opposite us, I put weight on just from looking.

Well done to the organisers of the Festival and all those that make it a great day
