Included in the entry ticket price to the recent bonsai auction at Heathrow presented by the UK Bonsai Association was a Mame show. Always good to see some smaller bonsai, usually dwarfed by their fellow bigger trees at shows and overlooked; the artistry and difficulty is by no means any less.
I appreciated the range of different stands on display. With smaller trees and pots, this leaves a great deal more flexibility of what can be achieved. You’ll see from the photos Suiseki were also mixed in. There was also a dedicated Suiseki area at the show, more on that in another post.
