Again the club put on a display at the Wanborough show on Saturday the 20th August 2016, despite the terrible weather warning of very strong winds and heavy rain. But then it wouldn’t be the Wanborough show unless it was that!!!! Luckily, we managed to get the marquee up and the display out while it was dry, although it was blowing a gale and the site is very exposed on the top of a hill.
This is an opportunity for club members who don’t normally exhibit at the larger bonsai shows, to display their trees and explain them to the public.
We did have some heavy rain in the afternoon but then the visitors who rushed into the marquee for shelter were able to appreciate the display close up. All in all the weather wasn’t as bad as previous years. It is always a good show with plenty to see and do.
