Unfortunately, Terry was away in America when Reg attended an RHS function in London towards the end of March 2011 and collected the ‘Holford Gold medal’ on behalf of the Federation of British bonsai for their bonsai display at Chelsea in 2010.
It was deemed, the best amateur display in all the Royal Horticultural shows for 2010. The majority of the trees at that display were owned and exhibited by Swindon and District Bonsai club members namely Reg Bolton and Terry Adams. This is following many successful years exhibiting at Chelsea and obtaining a Gold Medal on three consecutive occasions. There is an article on the Swindon Advertisers website.
