Another lovely day at Wanborough show, made even better with the weather. a chance for all Swindon members to display a tree or two. We again also set up a gazebo next to the main display marquee as a workshop and somewhere for members to relax out of the very warm sun. A lot of visitors enjoyed Alan’s display of elms, from cuttings to final trees and he was able to discuss with them. The main question from viewers was ‘Where do I buy bonsai seeds?’ They were even more amazed when they got the answer. Many had tried bonsai kits with no success and when it was explained to them they were keen to go away and start again with more mature material. The workshop area was a great way to promote even more discussions with the visitors.
Of course the warm day, early start and all the work setting the display up eventually got to some and they had to have a kip………………hahaha Come on Barry wake up we need to pack things away soon.
