Another good day was spent at Queens Park, Swindon on Sunday the 24th July made even better with the improved weather. It saw the best attended fun day since it has started.
The small marquee was used and manned by Paul, Mike and Graham. Although the fun day didn’t open to the public until 1145 am, there was a steady stream of onlookers even before we had managed to erect the tables and placed the trees on their stands.
A good variety of trees were put on display, so as to fuel their imagination and some went away to have a go at the hobby. It was a busy day with a number of interested people visiting the display and asking questions about the trees.
There were a number of other attractions in the park area including things for the children, Swindon Town football, Wanborough Herb gardens, Swindon honeybees, vintage cars and various food stalls. One of the organisers was so impressed, he asked us to return for next year’s fun day.
