A tribute to celebrate the life of Andrew Pearson, a truly remarkable man whose creativity, kindness, and passion left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Andrew was not just a talented ceramicist but an artist of extraordinary vision. Through his work with Stone Monkey Ceramics, he transformed clay into pieces of profound beauty, imbuing each creation with his heart and soul.

He was very generous, annually donating to our Swindon Winter Show each year with stunning raffle prizes of some of his fabulous bonsai pots. Some of you were lucky enough to win one of these fantastic creations. Andy’s work reflected his love for the natural world and his deep understanding of balance and form. His ceramics resonated with harmony, much like the man himself. Andrew had an innate ability to connect with people. Whether sharing his craft, mentoring others, or simply engaging in conversation, he radiated warmth, humour, and authenticity.

To the bonsai community, he was an inspiration, a man who followed his passion and encouraged others to do the same. His legacy endures through his ceramics.

Rest in peace, Andrew Pearson. You will be deeply missed by all who knew you.
