There were a good range of accents on display at the Roots Bonsai Show this weekend near Newbury, a wide range of species and good to see so many in flower adding a touch of colour to the bonsai displays.

Thank you all for bringing your Ginkgo bonsai along to Roots Bonsai Show, it was great to see so many different shapes and sizes of Ginkgo bonsai and be able to set up a display in tribute to a great tree species which also in my opinion look great as bonsai.

There were a range of traders at Roots Bonsai Show this weekend including Malcolm Driffield with his Creations in wood, Daniel Butler and his fine art sculpture and ceramics, Bonsai trees Southampton, Dan Barton of Esoteric pots, Bonsai Presentations, Dai-ichi Bonsai and Lee Verhorvoort of LV Bonsai.

This year was another great bonsai show hosted by Newbury & District Bonsai Society at Roots Garden Centre, Hermitage. It was a well attended show from 10am until 4pm with a range of visiting clubs and societies, plus traders and their was space for workshops and demonstrations.
Surrey Heath Bonsai Society had a great range of tree species on their display at Roots Bonsai including a wide range of succulent accents. Solent Bonsai Society had a brilliant display once again at Roots with some excellent additions to the display to add interest and capture the imagination and also add a fun element to the display.
Sussex Bonsai Group put on a three individual tokanoma tree displays as their display which were well balanced and beautifully presented at the Roots Bonsai Show this weekend. They meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Wivelsfield Green Village Hall in West Sussex at 8pm-10pm.
Our club display was a diverse range of species predominately broadleaved with one or two more unusual species including a Maidenhair tree and a Taiwanese Fig. One item that appeared to also draw attention
