David from Walsall Studio Ceramics came to Swindon for an all day workshop on Saturday the 19th September 2015. Eleven club members attended the workshop and with the expert help of David, we made some nice pots of various shapes and sizes.
It wasn’t all hard work as some members had brought in some cakes and biscuits to keep our energy levels up and spurred us on to complete blocks of clay that at least looked like bonsai pots.
David has now returned home with all the pots to sort out all of our errors, glaze them and then fire them. I hope to add photo’s of the finished ceramics, this may take some time as we all know that David is always busy. I would certainly recommend any clubs to book him, he explains the process very well and is very patient.
