Solent Bonsai Society (affiliated to FOBBS) was founded in 1978 when a few enthusiasts met in a Fareham pub and agreed to start the Society, and to this day is still attended by some of the founder membership, next year we are looking forward to celebrating our 40th anniversary. The society meets on the last Friday of the month (not December) just outside Fareham at the Wallington Village Hall, Broad Cut, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 8ST. You will be able to see their latest bonsai display at our Swindon Winter Image Show on Sunday 26th February 2017 and meet some of their club members.

The group gather to discuss, share, and exchange ideas and thoughts, to support the continued ethos of Bonsai. We have a varied program throughout the year of speakers, workshops, shows, etc., details can be found on our website, www.solentbonsai.co.uk.

We have a very enthusiastic membership of all ages, the experience of some of the members of the group is very extensive, which has led them to be invited to not only shows, but to speak at other events and clubs both locally, and further afield. We always look forward to attending shows and events to further our knowledge, and share our experience, with other like minded groups, and as such, are delighted to be invited to show at the Swindon Winter Image 2017.
