We were delighted to be asked to present our Bonsai at a Japanese themed evening, promoting the launch of the new Lexus UX Hybrid. There was plenty of entertainment on offer.

We set up two tokonoma style displays, demonstrating both the scale and variation of different bonsai to the public. We used a theme of Asian and Japanese trees throughout our displays, specifically for this evening.

There were beautiful cherry blossom tree lighting installed especially for the evening throughout the immaculate showroom. It really had an ambience of Japan in spring time. Origami tuition was on offer in one of the showroom’s meeting rooms which was enormous fun. A selection of sushi and drinks were also available.

Mr Jon Fish organised a raffle for Brighter Futures which raised over £400 during the night, in addition to £1800 in January. All of this money has gone to support the droplet cup initiative at Swindon hospital which helps keeps elderly and immobile patients hydrated. Paul, our chairman won the star prize for the evening: a long weekend in a Lexus LC 500 V8 coupé (see images below) A fabulous prize!
