A massive thank you to everyone who is involved in making the Swindon Winter Image Show what it is today. We appreciate the support of the bonsai community year on year in addition to our own club members who work behind the scenes to make it all happen and run smoothly on the day.
A special thanks to Andy and Mandy for all their work on the new backdrops, taking the show winner photographs and supporting the whole process of set up and take down as well as exhibiting. To Paul, our Chairman, who is the main organiser of the show throughout the year, sorting out exhibits, bookings, etc and working with the committee to plan everything down to the last detail. To Reg for sorting out the awards and judging elements as well as raffle prizes. To Graham, Rob, Alan, Dave, Ernest and Paul, who had tasks to do in advance, like driving the vans, collecting tables and putting out the show signs as well as afterwards.
To Simon, Mike, Tim, Geoff, Martin, Juan and Paul for manning the entry table. To Sally and her team of Alan, Rob, Lonnie and Barry, sorting out wristbands. To Derek for manning the fire doors and car parking with Chris, Kit and Mark, and Ernest on security. To Terry, Amelia and Ross for helping with the visitors and the set up for the presentation. To David, Robert, Nick, Daniel, Matt and Andy selling raffle tickets. Plus to Neal, Clive, Ben, Martin, Joe and David for your help with everyone setting up and taking down. Finally, to thank Moira and Dawn for setting up the Swindon sales table and running it for the day with the aid of both Pauls.
Thank you also to Alex Rudd who was our speaker this year providing two hours worth of presentations on bonsai pots and pot selection which everyone found very informative and useful.
Thank you also to the Grange Leisure and Community Centre for allowing us to host our show at your event for so many years now.
A thank you also to UKBA for all your continued support to all clubs and societies in the UK.
