Bonsai flowers

Late winter flowering bonsai are always a stunning sight and can cheer up any a gloomy day. Here are a few examples seen this year in February and March of Cherries, Quince, Forsythia, Larch, Blackthorn, Chocolate Vine, Japanese Apricot and Witch Hazel to name but a few.

Azalea delights

John Trott of Mendip Bonsai Studios put on a fantastic display of bonsai Azaleas in bloom. Thus creating an amazing flowering delight at the Royal Cornwall Show. His display was very unique and provided a high level of interest and was very eye catching.

Flowering bonsai in June

June is a good time for flowering shrubs more so than trees and some shrubs make excellent bonsai, here is a quick guide to what could be out in flower this month, but timings can vary depending on the weather.

Wessex Bonsai Society Club Display

Wessex Bonsai Society was established in 1983 and hosted another great exhibition this year in addition to an Open Competition. They put on their own club display too which included some excellent trees and a diverse range of species including a Lilac which was in full flower.
