Michael Partridge club member display
Michael exhibited a large Trident maple (Acer buergerianum), which he has owned since 2010 after buying it from a club member and it was in a Chinese pot.
Accents at our show
This year the accents followed a theme as spring has come early so many bulbs were in bloom so a very colourful display of accents on show. David Johnson at our show
David displayed an Antarctic Beech (Nothofagus antartica), which he has had from a cutting for 26 years in a Beryl Thorpe pot. He also displayed a Korean Hornbeam (Carpinus turczaninowii), that he obtained from a trader 16 years ago and it was in a Dan Barton pot.

Beryl presented a four tree shohin display with three trees on a shohin display stand and one set to the right with an accompanying Davallia fern. The Elm within the display also won the Arihato award so well done Beryl.
Ian Stewardson at our show
This year we had a special treat from Ian Stewardson with his exciting new exhibit of a Siberian Pea Tree (Caragana arboescens) that came from Japan and was in a Gordon Duffett pot. John Brocklehurst at our show
John’s shohin display was a celebration of two excellent shohin trees, a Quince in flower set above a very delicate cascade stand in addition to a Hornbeam set on a beautiful wooden jitta.
Steve McKee at our show
This year Steve kindly agreed to be our Head Judge and spent much of the first part of the morning deliberating all the trees against the criteria and categories along with his fellow judges. Judges at our show
Thank you to the judges, Steve McKee, Mark Cooper, Ritta Cooper, Andy Jordan, Bill Baker, John Brocklehurst, Andrew Hardman and Robert Stewart. It was no easy task to judge the show given the range of such stunning and such a diverse range of trees on display but they did an excellent job, so thank you again.
Chris Thomas at our show
Chris not only put on an individual exhibit this year but he was also one of the traders at our show. He presented a yamadori Larch (Larix decidua) that was collected 14 years ago, which he has been working on, and styling and developing since then and it was in a Gordon Duffett pot.
