WindyBank Bonsai Signage

Today, Amelia, Derek Ross and I aka rent-a-crowd went to visit Ken Leaver at his bonsai nursery, Windybank in Surrey. Ken has a lovely small, very well laid out nursery and is well worth a visit. His nursery specialises in selling high quality Japanese bonsai trees, he has a fine selection and many different styles & species with prices to suit all.

We were made to feel very welcome and offered tea & coffee. This is not our first visit to Windybank bonsai nursery and this year Ken has a new quarantine area as well as a great range of new trees from Japan with many varieties of Acer including Palmatum, Kashima, Deshojo, Benichi dori, Kyohime and Trident maple. Other species included Cork bark Elm, Hornbeam, Cotoneaster, Japanese Beech, Chinese Juniper and Pomegranate. Furthermore, accent plants were on sale, made by Ken’s grand daughter.

Following a great deal of deliberation and discussion we all found a selection of trees which we liked and needless to say we didn’t come away empty handed.

In addition to bonsai trees you can purchase a range of bonsai goods and products and he stocks a large selection of bonsai pots, Japanese bonsai tools, soil, and wire are available.
