Apples make great bonsai subject to which species you select and one recommended would be Malus x Zumi which is a cross between Malus baccata var mandshurica and Malus sieboldii.They tend to be small trees with rounded to pyramidal form and have large flower white to pink in colour and fruits in autumn.
