Here is an interesting article in a French newspaper following on from the Saturday of the Exposition de Bonsai which was a great success and an excellent Bonsai show to visit for the weekend. It is held every two years so book in for 2016 on your bonsai events calendar as an event to visit.
The Show was well attended, the venue; spacious providing an excellent stage for the presentation of the bonsai on show to their advantage with good light levels, wide viewing galleries and well spaced displays that flowed well from one to another.
In addition to a wide variety of bonsai trees on display there were also a range of other stands including Potters, Bonsai Accessories, Stands for sale from Gérald Boutel, Origami demonstrations by Maurice-Jean Besnier, Orchids for sale from Jacky Orchiflora and Orchid displays integrated throughout the show itself. Plus Calligraphy demonstrations by Marie-Reine Daubrège, Floral art displays by Natev and a demonstration of styling a Myrtle by Olivier Barreau and a talk by Sophie Fougquart on Orchids on the Saturday. This was again all present on the Sunday so a two day show which was fun packed with everything bonsai and everything bonsai related all their for you to admire plus purchase.
