We as a Society are honoured to be invited to exhibit at Swindon Winter Image Show this year on Sunday 26th February 2017. The Darlington Bonsai Society was formed some 30 years ago to bring together local enthusiasts of a rapidly growing hobby. Moving to a new venue necessitated a change of name to Tees Valley Bonsai Society. The Members meet once per month to discuss, work on and show trees.

We have speakers who talk on a range of bonsai subjects, together with the more experienced members who are always willing to help and advise new members. We meet in Stockton on Tees in the North East of England. We display our trees at 2 local agricultural shows in our local area and also at the Bonsai Traders Association (BTA) Show at Elsecar. Many of our members also belong to Akamatsu School of Bonsai, who displayed at Bonsai Europa 2015.

3 of our members have had trees accepted in the Noelander’s Trophy Show in Belgium in early February this year, this being one of the biggest and most prestigious shows in Europe. Our members regularly travel throughout the UK and Europe to visit exhibitions and nurseries, supporting the bonsai hobby.
