Tonight was accent night and Parnham Bungalow Plants from Market Lavington came along to sell us some of their superb alpine plants. It was a fun evening with a chance to get some inspiration of existing accent plantings made by club members and buy some new alpines and succulents to make your own.

In addition to accents, tree of the month was well stocked so a good range of trees to view and vote on and thank you again to Derek for photographing them all and we missed Graham this month, but hopefully he will be back next month.
Also a thank you to Mr and Mrs Bartram for the donation of terracotta plant pots and cacti which club members really appreciated. Mike also bought in a few Mame bonsai trees for sale which was cool.
It was a busy evening with lots of good bonsai discussion around pot selection, choice of plants for accents as well as other tree questions and thank you again to Parnham Bungalow Plants for coming along.
If you missed your chance to buy alpines and succulents then don’t worry as they will be at the Wiltshire Branch of the Annual Cacti and Succulent Show in Melksham on Saturday 24th June.
Also don’t forget it is the Milton Lilbourne Summer Fayre near Pewsey is also on this Saturday from 13:00 – 17:00 and Swindon Club Members will be putting on a bonsai display there if you want to pop along and join in the fun.
