Always a pleasure to see the first flowers of the year. It is usually our Prunus mume that breaks first, we’ve only got one so far but welcome sight of things to come.
Often accompanied with a sweet almond smell, but not at the moment. Far too windy in the UK for that.
Also our Prunus x subhirtella ‘Autumnalis’ is in flower. But between you and me, it’s been doing this in small doses all winter.
