This evening we held a problem trees and critique evening. Members were invited to bring in material they have but are unsure in what direction to take it.

The group discussed the pros and cons of the individual tree and made recommendations for the future development.

It was great to see the return of this Privet bonsai. The foliage density and colour look healthy and the plant overall looks vigorous.
This was the same tree last September. The foliage is not uniform and it looks like the tree is fading. Amazing the difference repotting, feeding and cutting back can make, even in as little as one year!

Also, Robert Derrick brought some Juniper starter trees for sale. If you are interested you can visit his website Oakfield Bonsai in Westbury, Wiltshire.

There was also some Shohin display design going on.
It looks as if Robert’s trees are growing well.
