FOBBS Merit Awards

Two trees won the Federation of British Bonsai (FOBBS) merit awards at the Heathrow show and they were tree 107 which was a stunning Yew created and owned by Manuel Gonzalez of Wessex Bonsai Society and tree 115, a Ligustrum owned by Paul Finch of Southend Bonsai Society.

Chelsea Flower Show 2012 – ‘GOLD’

Gold again at Chelsea Flower Show – well done Reg, Hon Club President and his team on the 5th gold medal on the trot. The display included three trees from other exhibitors on the FOBBS stand, all the other trees are from the Swindon Club.

Malcom Hughes talks on Maples

Malcom Hughes gave a very informative talk for our club night and I managed to gleen 10 pages of notes from the talk and here is a summary of the main points that were discussed regarding maples.
