Club member’s trees

The work that is involved in putting on any kind of show is usually quite considerable and this is true of a bonsai show. The Club members and their families who help to support the Swindon Bonsai Club displayed many of their own bonsai trees this year.

Small trees @ our Winter Image Show

Shohin and Mame were represented well at this years Swindon Winter Image Show and not just as displays but as companion trees to larger trees and as part of club displays too. Here are a selection of the tiny trees that caught my attention at the show.

Paul Bowerbank FoBBS roll of honours

Paul Bowerbank is our Chairman for Swindon and District Bonsai Society and he was given an award and named on the Federation of British Bonsai (FoBBS) Roll of Honours for his dedication to promoting the art of bonsai.

Traders @Bonsai World 2015

With over 20 different traders at the Bonsai World event this weekend it was hard to know what to look at first or buy and it was an excellent opportunity to pick up a bargain as well as buy some high quality bonsai trees and supplies.
