Another nice show at Failands, Near Bristol. Unfortunately, I had to leave before any awards were announced.
Wanborough Show 2013
The society was invited to exhibit at this year’s Wanborough Show, a non-profit local show to Swindon with a good selection of entertainment, you can find out more about the show here or enjoy pictures of our trees
Tokonoma Night
We call it Tokonoma night but as Mr Bailey pointed out these are, quite rightly, three point displays. Three point display night sounds more like something one would do in a car park though so we’ll go with Tokonoma for now.
August tree of the month
Redwoods, Wellingtonia and Swamp Cypress as Bonsai
If you are fascinated by trees then you cannot but love the Cupressaceae family of which belong the Redwoods, Wellingtonia and the Swamp Cypress and you should consider them a challenge to bonsai.

Beginners guide to buying a bonsai tree
