Rock plantings are a great way to get to see more of the root systems of bonsai trees as these are often exposed over the rocks allowing the observer to see more than one would usually see of the intricate network of roots of trees. Bonsai trees grown over rocks are great fun to create and when they are executed well they can achieve stunning results.
