Thank you again for hosting another great bonsai show this year, the displays were excellent with a myriad of bonsai trees of all shapes, styles, sizes and colours on display making it very eye catching.

Congratulations to all the visiting Clubs and Societies for putting on some fabulous bonsai displays with an excellent array of different species of trees, stands, pots, accents and different display approaches.

There was also a good range of bonsai traders so you could stock up on supplies and new trees, stands and pots, plus a very good collection of viewing stones on display but to buy too. The food was great and the venue at William Byrd Primary School was again spot on for holding a bonsai event at.

Corin Tomlinson from Greenwood Bonsai studio demonstrated various bonsai techniques throughout the day on a large pine and Harry Harrington also did some demonstrations.

The judging was split into two methods, the first being a public vote for best three trees, and the second approach was the exhibitor vote for their best three trees.

The winners of the exhibitors vote were:

1st: tree No. 243 English Elm owned by Will Baddeley

2nd: tree No 247 English Elm Owned by Will Baddeley

3rd: Tree No. 9 Hawthorn owned by Steve Mckee

Without the hard work of everyone involved these fun bonsai events would not happen, so thank you again for all the work from everyone to actually make it happen.
