Tonight Mark discussed the history of Shohin, and the difficulties frought within size classification and the stands which present these smaller trees in a display. Tree direction and how it impacts display with ideas around flow & counterbalance. This can become complex and therefore difficult as more and more items are added to a Shohin display.
The Coopers have visited some fascinating bonsai establishments in Japan and shared some photos of their explorations, and also anecdotes along the way.
