Following a random conversation with Andy Pearson of Stone Monkey Ceramics in 2011 SUTEKI was born! My original idea was just to make pots for myself but was then encouraged to make more and try selling them on and the rest, as they say, is history.
Inspired by Japanese ceramics and with a love for more obscure music I see myself as a bit of a Post-Apocalyptic Punk Potter whose quirky personality and dress sense is mirrored in much of my work. Never looking to “reinvent the ceramic wheel” I just look to give my work a froggy twist on classic, and not so classic, shapes and forms.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Swindon Winter Image Show on Sunday 25th February 2018 where it will be your chance to buy some of my latest posts.
