Heathrow Bonsai Show
Thank you again Mark and MingChen Moreland and all those involved in organising and running the Heathrow Bonsai Show as this was yet another great bonsai show and fun event today. The range of bonsai trees on display was extensive and excellent, with some stunning autumn colour as well as some early winter images.
Capel Manor Autumn Bonsai Show
What a wonderful autumn bonsai show today at Capel Manor with a host of trees on display and some of which had not previously been displayed.
Bristol Bonsai Society Show
Bristol Bonsai Society members did not disappoint today and had a show stopper to boot with a stunning Taxodium distchum (Swamp Cypress/Bald Cypress) which won the public vote as well as a personal favourite of mine too. Swindon Club once again put on a display of bonsai trees at Wanborough Show. This is a well attended village show near to Swindon. Daniel Butler Fine art sculpture and ceramics at Roots
Daniel Butler was selling some fabulous bonsai and accent pots at Roots Bonsai Show, he is very talented and goes beyond making pots to creating one off sculptures and works of art so check out his website for more details.
Berkshire Bonsai at Roots
Berkshire Bonsai Society put on a display at Roots Bonsai Show which contained a good range of Japanese tree species.
Bristol Bonsai at Roots
Bristol Bonsai Society at Roots Bonsai Show displayed two stunning Pine trees as tokonomas, one a Japanese Black Pine and the other a White Pine, plus a very unusual hedge as the centre between the two pines which was complete with a cat on a style, coke bottle and set off with a Japanese Maple.
Chiltern Bonsai at Roots
Chiltern Bonsai Society set up a display at Roots Bonsai Show with their own detailed backdrop and sides to add a focal point to their display. The trees were a good range of species and well presented.
Eastleigh Bonsai at Roots
Eastleigh Bonsai Society had a combination of Shohin displays for their display at Roots and this was superb, it was a really great to see some fabulous shohin on display and presented so well with new ideas and approaches to bonsai displaying.
