Winter image has to be one of the best times of year to view and display bonsai when you can see the fabulous tracery, silhouette and all the structural attributes of a tree in full. The deciduous bonsai on display lived up to expectation too as you can see from the Best Deciduous of Mark and Ritta Copper in addition to many of the other deciduous species on display throughout the show this year. It certainly was a good year for winter image displays and trees. The range of species was good to from Elms through to Viburnums as shown in the photographs below where a few of the trees on display have been collated for you to browse through for the winter image specialty.
