Set up for our Show

This year was amazing, the club members and volunteers who helped out on the Saturday for the set up did a great job and everything was in place well before 8pm.

At the August club meeting we were visited by Mark & Ritta Cooper with an ambien slide show and talk about their visits to Japan recently and some of the big shows they attended.

2nd International Magical Bonsai Accents Exhibition

Congratulations to all those involved in hosting the 2nd International Magical Bonsai Accents Exhibition at Failand Village Hall, Bristol on Saturday 19th July as this was a great success and all who attended had a great day.

Magical Accent Show at Failands

Well it was certainly a different show. Helped by the lovely warm weather. It was a first in the UK and Europe, so was a bit of a gamble, I for one really enjoyed the day and took away so many ideas for my own collection.

April Club night

Tonights meeting was primarily focused on reviewing the accents that we all made back in August 2011 during the Kusamono and Shitakusa evening with Ritta Cooper.

Ritta is well known for her accent plantings and Kusamono. During the show she will be making a presentation which will cover everything you need to know on the subject. British Shohin Association @ Our Winter Show

As part of our 10th Anniversary year celebrations, The Swindon & District Bonsai Society are pleased to announce that at our Winter Image show, to be held on the 19th February 2012, will feature an exciting new exhibit Section.

  This was an excellent evening, with 27 club members in attendance to hear Ritta Cooper talk on Kusamono and Shitakusa followed by a really fun active participation demonstration to create your very own Kusamono and Shitakusa.
