Newbury and District Bonsai Society hosted another great bonsai event this year near Newbury at Roots Garden Centre. It was a well attended show with a good range of traders and attending clubs and societies who also got a chance to catch up and work on bonsai trees throughout the day. Thank you to Newbury Bonsai Society for inviting Swindon club to attend and also to Roots Garden centre for the hospitality and excellent venue.Newbury Bonsai Society meet monthly on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at Speen Village Hall, Newbury. Most of their meetings involve hands on workshops where members are encouraged to bring their own trees to work on and practical advice can be sought from the more experience members of the club. As well as these activities, the club often has speakers, both internal and external who give presentations and demonstrations on all aspects of bonsai culture.
