Newbury and District Bonsai Society are once again displaying bonsai at the Swindon Winter Image Show on Sunday 26th February 2017. The Society has been displaying at this event for many years and we are very proud to support such an excellent show. We regularly attend other bonsai shows in the south (Wessex, Heathrow) as well as providing a display in the Newbury and District Agricultural show held in September each year. We have been awarded RHS large gold awards for the last two years displays with many gold awards prior to that.
Newbury and District Bonsai Society meet on the first Wednesday in each month (except January) at Speen Parish Hall in Newbury at 7.30pm. The Society mainly runs a workshop based format with short discussions about relevant topics run most months.
The workshop format works well and allows enthusiasts of all experiences to gain advice from others on how to handle and develop their trees.
