It is less than a week to go now before the Swindon Winter Image Show 2019 and your chance to win a superb prize in our raffle on Sunday 24th February. Raffle tickets are being sold on the day for a £1.00 per ticket and there are over 20 prizes to be won so don’t forget to buy yours at the door or throughout the day. Check out the images below of some of the raffle prizes which will include 12 trees of a wide range of species.

Our show opening hours are 10.00am – 4.00pm and it’s still only £5 entry on the door.

The awards for the trees in the competition will be at 14.00 closely followed by the raffle at 14.30pm so have your tickets ready.

The Winter Image Exhibition hosted by Swindon Bonsai Society is one of the highlights in our calendar year.  It is the culmination of weeks of work making pots specially for this event.  This year we will bring fewer accent pots and instead increase the number of bonsai pots.  Each of these pots will be unique and a wide range of sizes will be available from tiny to very large with a wide selection of shapes, colours and textures.  We look forward to meeting you all again on the 24th February 2019. As ever,  Dan and Cecilia

Todays auction was a great way to start your bonsai year, and it did not disappoint. With over 100 bonsai items in the auction there was plenty to bid on. It was well attended with many bonsai enthusiasts from far and wide across the UK who were there to buy and sell bonsai.

UK Bonsai Association Auction

Don’t miss your chance to go to the UK Bonsai Association Auction on Sunday, 27 January 2019. Doors open from 11:00 – 16:00 and it is £3 on the door. The auction viewing starts at 11:00, while the actual auction starts at 12:00. To see the full list and photos of the auction items visit the UK Bonsai Association website.

In addition to the auction will be a  display of Suiseki (viewing stones), Saikei (landscape tray plantings) as well as Mame (small ‘bean-sized’ bonsai). The exhibition setting up at 10:00 and the doors open to the public at 11:00.

The event is being held at the Harlington Sports Centre, Pinkwell Lane, Harlington, Middlesex UB3 1PB
