The main show trees at the exposition were of a range of styles, species and displays including shohin, mame, chuhin and some very large bonsai too.

There was a good selection of bonsai traders at the Bonsai Exposition in Neuville-saint-Rémy in France this weekend. Some beautiful bonsai pots, bonsai trees and other bonsai sundries were on sale.
The Exposition Bonsai at Neuville-saint-Rémy in Cambrai in France was held on the 16th and 17th April 2016. It had changed venue since the last time we went in 2014 and this venue was a much larger hall with excellent space and lighting to host a bonsai show.

This was a collection of bonsai that kept inspiring, because in addition to a stunning massive collection of the finest Pinus massoniana there was a wide variety of other tree species on display as bonsai too including Giant Redwoods! Carmona microphylla is a common species used for indoor or otherwise tropical bonsai in the UK and is one species many people starting the bonsai hobby have once owned or even still own. It is commonly called the Fukien tea tree.
