There were a good range of accents on display at the Roots Bonsai Show this weekend near Newbury, a wide range of species and good to see so many in flower adding a touch of colour to the bonsai displays.
This year was another great bonsai show hosted by Newbury & District Bonsai Society at Roots Garden Centre, Hermitage. It was a well attended show from 10am until 4pm with a range of visiting clubs and societies, plus traders and their was space for workshops and demonstrations.
Today was Surrey Heath Bonsai Show which was held at Lord Pirbright Hall, The Green, Pirbright, Surry, GU24 0JE. The Wessex Show was as usual an excellent show with a good standard of bonsai in the competition and here are the winners of each class from the Show.
Sutton Bonsai Society held their show today at the prestigious RHS Wisley Gardens, Surrey. The premier UK shohin and mame bonsai tree exhibition took place on 15 March at Failands Village Hall. This much anticipated exhibition, Shohin UK II, was eagerly awaited by many in the small tree community. This show was great. If you like shohin and smaller, you would have loved this show. Sho Ryu Kai is a well established, talented group – as part of Lodder’s open weekend they put on a display and demonstrated just how good the Netherlands bonsai scene is.
