Accents @ Roots Bonsai

There were a good range of accents on display at the Roots Bonsai Show this weekend near Newbury, a wide range of species and good to see so many in flower adding a touch of colour to the bonsai displays.

In addition to the good selection of traders at the Bonsai Traders Event at Capel Manor, there were also four very good exhibitions put on by The Bonsai Group Enfield, Splinter Group, Middlesex Bonsai and British Suiseki.

Bonsai with love

Bonsai with love was a great event held at today at Failand Village Hall near Bristol. It was a charitable bonsai event in support of Cancer Research and had some amazing bonsai trees on display from all over the UK. There were a wide range of bonsai traders

RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2015

This year we helped again on the bonsai stand at Chelsea which was again superb and it was a pleasure to be able to visit and take in the delights as well as spend time with Reg and Terry on the Gold medal winning FoBBS stand.

8th Gold Medal @ Chelsea

This year was the 8th consecutive Gold Medal at Chelsea Flower Show for FoBBS and under the show management of Reginald Bolton from Swindon and District Bonsai Society.

Bonsai Trunk Fusing

Have you ever tried to fuse the trunks of trees, and if not why not? It is great fun to try out different species and so far I have had good success with Ficus as they seem very adapt at fusing trunks particularly Ficus benjamina.
