Puzzlewood is an awesome woodland attraction near the village of Coleford in the Forest of Dean. We took a day trip to visit the awe inspiring woods following a recommendation from a fellow bonsai enthusiast and were not disappointed.  The trees are fabulous but the whole atmosphere is breath taking with the widest spectrum of greens of every shade that we have seen. The lichens, mosses and ferns are great for any botanist as well as the artistic element of the rock formations making interesting shapes and patterns. The root over rock examples are brilliant for gaining ideas on how to re-create this style and approach for your bonsai too, with good examples of dead wood and shari ideas also to be seen. So well worth a visit to spark the imagination and inspire your bonsai styling. Here are some more images from our visit for your delight.
