Bonsai in April

Spring has now sprung and hopefully all your bonsai trees have come through the winter. Here is a quick generic guide to bonsai in April but for individual species check out some of the other species-specific posts.

Sho Ryu Kai

During the Lodder Bonsai open weekend we were fortunate enough to spend time admiring the bonsai displays that were created by the bonsai association Sho Ryu Kai and meet Daan Giphart and Jos Corstjens, discussing Mame & Shohin.

Bonsai inspiration

Trees are a passion for so many people across the world and here are some inspirational trees that I have seen on my travels that guide the types of bonsai trees I want to design or already have in my collection.

Daibokai

This was the first time I had come across Daibokai who are a family run business from Germany. They were one of the many traders who attended the open weekend at Lodder Bonsai bv in the Netherlands and some of their scrolls were inspired as well as fun too and the art work was excellent.

Bonsai plaza

If you are looking to buy online bonsai then visit Bonsai plaza as a one stop shop for all things bonsai. They were recently one of the invited traders at the Lodder Bonsai Open Weekend and they had some beautiful porcelain pots for sale.

Eye catching pots

Tribute to Arihato
