Bonsai with love was a great event held at today at Failand Village Hall near Bristol. It was a charitable bonsai event in support of Cancer Research and had some amazing bonsai trees on display from all over the UK. There were a wide range of bonsai traders
Here are a selection of the wonderful accents and bronzes today at the Shohin UK II Exhibition at Failands Village Hall near Bristol.
The range of broadleaved trees at the Shohin UK II Exhibition 2015 was broad and diverse and the quality of the trees was excellent. Species ranging from Potentilla, through to Berbers, Gardenia, Zelkova, Chinese Elm, Privet and Quince to name a few.
There was a good selection of evergreen bonsai at the Shohin UK II Exhibition 2015 from Junipers through to Black and Red Pines plus Hinoki cypress, Yew and Larch which technically is a deciduous conifer but I have added it into this set anyway.
Held on June 14th 2015 in ‘Support of Cancer Research’ this event will be free admission including a number of traders. Steve Tolley has generously agreed to conduct an informal demo and Tony Tickle has been persuaded to donate his magnificent Yew bonsai for an auction. Bristol Bonsai Society members did not disappoint today and had a show stopper to boot with a stunning Taxodium distchum (Swamp Cypress/Bald Cypress) which won the public vote as well as a personal favourite of mine too. The club members bonsai displays were set up along the lines of one table per display (Tokanoma style)… Read more »

Congratulations to all those involved in hosting the 2nd International Magical Bonsai Accents Exhibition at Failand Village Hall, Bristol on Saturday 19th July as this was a great success and all who attended had a great day.
