Bonsai exhibitions – a fairer system of awarding prizes

Tonights meeting Part 1 of a talk by Mark and Ritta Cooper on Bonsai exhibitions – a fairer system of awarding prizes. It was a very successful evening with a good range of lively discussion on the topic of judging and some food for thought.

May 2011 club night

This month the competition had thirteen tree entries and as part of the evenings exercise we all carried out a task to judge one tree based on the new talent criteria suggested guidelines to judging.

Tree of the Month Competition

The Tree of the Month Competition is staged at each main club meeting throughout the year with the exception of the AGM and the Christmas Dinner. The objective is to stage a friendly competition between members and to give all members the chance to display trees.
