Today Salisbury Bonsai Club celebrated 30 years of bonsai with friends and fellow bonsai enthusiasts and hosted their anniversary show. There were two bonsai styling demonstrations performed by Malcolm Driffield who was able to step in at short notice for both sessions, so thank you Malcolm. Plus an auction run by Chris Thomas, a raffle and some great bonsai displays from Salisbury Bonsai Club and visiting clubs and societies.
This was the final Milton Lilbourne Summer Fayre at present, but it was a great show and the weather was superb, cream teas a delight and the overall day a great success. We had fun pruning trees, talking about bonsai and generally it was a good day out. A few images from the day are below.
Salisbury Bonsai Club have invited Swindon together with other clubs/societies to attend their 30th Anniversary Show which will be opened by Chris Thomas and Judged by Peter Chan.
Yet another lovely show with quality displays, trees and accents, if you missed it you missed a good one.
Again we were joined by David Jones and his helper for the day, Charlotte Walby for an all day pottery workshop.
John Trott, [https://www.mendipbonsai.co.uk/] Mendip Bonsai Studio followed on from a very busy time of year, a ‘Gold’ Medal at the “Chelsea Flower Show” and then the Bath and West Show and the Cornwall Show. John attended the NEC Birmingham for the Gardeners World Live show 2018 with a lovely display of all Azalea’s except the accent plants. He was voted as the………… Geoff Hamilton Award – Best in Show.
