Terry Adams gave a brilliant presentation for us with a slideshow of images of trees in nature and how they offer serious food for thought when it comes to bonsai design. He presented his ideas on designing bonsai trees based on his many years of observations of nature. He has gained inspiration from many sources

Kusamono and Shitakusa by Ritta Cooper
This was an excellent evening, with 27 club members in attendance to hear Ritta Cooper talk on Kusamono and Shitakusa followed by a really fun active participation demonstration to create your very own Kusamono and Shitakusa.
Malcom Hughes talks on Maples

June 2011 club night
We had a change in programme tonight from the scheduled event, Malcolm Hughes, now postponed to next month, brought July’s workshop early and we quickly got down to business. The evening consisted mostly of pruning, tea and medals (Chelsea gold) stopping for the Tree of Month competition.
May 2011 club night
This month the competition had thirteen tree entries and as part of the evenings exercise we all carried out a task to judge one tree based on the new talent criteria suggested guidelines to judging.
