Had fun at the Bonsai Traders show at Capel Manor on Sunday, some great displays of bonsai as well as a good selection of traders. It was combined with the home and garden show so it was well attended with a good atmosphere.

The Bonsai Boot Sale at Birmingham Botanical Gardens was a well attended event today coniciding with the Federation of British Bonsai Societies (FoBBS) Annual General Meeting (AGM). Mame is a term used to describe very small bonsai usually less than 10 centimetres or 4 inches in height and generally smaller than shohin. They are very cute due to the smallness of size but do require extra care given the size of pot to avoid drying out.
