Our first post in a series in the lead up to the 2017 Swindon Winter Image Show on the 26th February is thanks to Harry Harrington of Bonsai4me.
It is that time of year again, time to start if you haven’t already getting your trees prepared for the 2017 Show season starting off in the UK with the Swindon Winter Image Bonsai Show on Sunday 26th February 2017. It will also be our 40th Anniversary of the Swindon Bonsai Club so a very special year this year so we look forward to seeing you all at the show to help celebrate.

It was nice to see many Swindon club members this month, and even some visitors from both Newbury and Warminster bonsai clubs. Great to see Bonsai clubs pulling together.
Geoff gave a very interesting and technically based talk which I will try to summarise concisely. There was a wealth of detail included and we couldn’t possibly try to explain it here in one hit. Some key points:

Swindon & District Bonsai Society were invited to put on a display at the 7th Heathrow Bonsai Show and here is our club display. Thank you to all those involved in preparing their trees for the display and aiding with the set up and supporting the club and show.
Wow, what an autumnal delight today’s bonsai trees were at the 7th Heathrow Bonsai Show. It was a fabulous and fun event with over 30 bonsai clubs and societies displaying over 300 trees and over 400 visitors to admire them.
