This show was contained within the Lodders open day, an opportunity for members Sho Ryu Kai group to display their trees. This happens usually twice a year, once in late winter/early spring and the later in the autumn. The group has some very knowledagble members with some beautiful specimens of all sizes of tree.

It is always fun to go on a bonsai shopping trip and we were not disappointed on arrival at Lodder Bonsai near Harmelen in the Netherlands to find a new shipment of trees had just arrived plus the nursery as always was full of stunning bonsai trees of all species, shapes, styles and price ranges.

This is a great time to visit Lodder Bonsai bv and the Hoka-en Bonsai Studio of Gerrit Lodder as the new stock for 2014 has just arrived. It was hand picked by Gerrit, the choice of species & styles is stunning and their are also some new species that are quite unusual too.
Shopping for Tropical Bonsai trees
Having a great passion for Taiwan Figs meant that it was hard for me to choose from the vast selection of Figs whilst shopping at Lodder Bonsai in Holland this year. They sell such a wide range of tropical tree species for anyone who has the space indoors to keep them.
