Huge congratulations go to John Trott of Mendip Bonsai Studio for his stunning bonsai display at the Gardeners World live at the NEC this year. He won against stiff competition as there were 106 exhibitors and in his words is “well chuffed”. Bonsai was well represented there with 4 platinum awards and a silver-gilt.

There was a stunning display of accents at Bonsai with Love, and some very interesting styles, designs and species of plants used as accents too. The pots were also amazing, so many brightly coloured and wonderful designs it was hard to choose a favourite. Check out some of the accents from the show below. For anyone who missed the show, it was in aid of charity with the aim of being a fund-raising event sponsored by Dan and Cecilia Barton to raise funds for the Charity: M.E. RESEARCH UK. There was a huge set of Tombola prizes at the show, which followed on from an auction of some lovely bonsai trees. It was a great event and a chance also to catch up with many bonsai friends.
